KOCHI: Exploring cooperation opportunities between Australian universities and the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), a six-member government delegation from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT), visited Cusat the other day.Cusat Vice-Chancellor J Letha, Pro-Vice Chancellor P G Sankaran and International Relations and Academic Admissions (IRAA) director Saju K K briefed the visitors about the various courses offered by the university.

ACT  Legislative Assembly opposition leader Alistair Coe, Arthur  Liberal Party president Arthur Potter, former liberal party candidate Jacob Vadakkedath, Chairwoman in Business, Australia India Business Council Honey (Anna) Palathinkal and former President of Federation of Indian Associations Amardeep Singh took part in the discussions.

“The key focus will be on collaboration between various reputed universities in Australia and Cusat in the field of learning and research, including teacher-student exchange programmes,” said Alistair Coe.The visiting Australian team expressed special interest in the courses conducted by Cusat such as Ship Technology, Marine Engineering, Marine Sciences, Engineering.
