Diarrhoea control and awareness week in Kerala's Palluruthy

KOCHI: As part of pre-monsoon efforts, the district authorities have come up with awareness programmes against monsoon diseases, especially diarrhoea. Week-long awareness programmes are planned and the district-level programme was inaugurated by Palluruthy block panchayat president at Kumabalangi St Joseph parish hall. 

The programme which unofficially began on May 28 will end on June 9. 
Aimed at reducing child mortality due to monsoon diseases, Asha workers, Kudumbashree workers, Health Department workers and anganwadi workers were all given special classes.
