The customs on Tuesday seized Saudi riyals valued at Rs 42 lakh from an Aluva native passenger who was about to board a flight from Kochi airport.

KOCHI: The customs on Tuesday seized Saudi riyals valued at Rs 42 lakh from an Aluva native passenger who was about to board a flight from Kochi airport.

According to a customs source, foreign currencies were found inside the baggage of the passenger. The passenger was interrogated till evening before he was released on bail. Customs officials are probing the source of the money.
