THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayalam Communications Ltd, promoters of Kairali Channel group, has registered a growth of 34.66 per cent in the last fiscal. The turnover of the company has grown to Rs 4.56 crore by December, 2008, from Rs 63.53 lakh in the same time last year.

 This was announced by Channel chairman actor Mammootty at the annual general body meeting held here on Wednesday. He promised a dividend of 5 per cent to all shareholders at the end of this fiscal. Kairali Towers, spread over 70,000 sq.ft, which is being built near the MLA Hostel, will be completed in the first quarter of 2009.

 Mammootty was re-elected the chairman and John Britas the managing director of the Malayalam Communications Limited. P.A. Sidhartha Menon, C.K. Karunakaran, P.T. Kunjumohammed, M.M. Monayi, V.K. Mohammed Asharaf, A.A. Rasheed, T.R. Ajayan, A. Vijayaraghavan and A.K. Moosa will continue as company directors.
