THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new building of Kerala Travels Interserve, ‘Yaathrika’, was inaugurated by Gouri Parvathi Bayi, princess of Travancore royal family here the other day. The corporate office of Kerala Travels, housed in the same building, was inaugurated by veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan.

The golden jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Travels, titled KT@50, was flagged off by former Ambassador T P Sreenivasan.

While the online portal www.ktworld247.com was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary K Jayakumar the organisation’s ecological initiative was launched by Tourism Secretary V Venu.

KTDC chairman Cherian Philip announced SauraYaathrika, the innovative space training programme for students.

Kerala Travels, a pioneer in travel and tourism industry, was founded by G V Raja of the Travancore royal family in 1959.
