Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) will take out a march to the  Assembly on Wednesday seeking to enact a piece of legislation to ensure transparency in granting autonomy to institutions of higher education.

SIO leaders said that it would take out protest marches in all district headquarters on June 20. Condemning the fee hike in self-financing science and arts colleges, SIO leaders demanded its immediate rollback. “We will observe June 27 as protest day against the move of self-financing colleges to hike fees by as much as 50 to 70 per cent,” SIO sec K S Nisar said.
