Speaking against social injustice

Express News Service

“My films speak against social injustice. It is ridiculous that anyone, especially tribals, Dalits and Muslims, can be booked under repressive laws and jailed,’’ said K P Sasi, director of ‘Fabricated’. He was speaking at the ‘Meet the Press’ organised as part of the sixth International Documentary and Short Film Festival (IDSFFK) here on Tuesday.

Parvez Imam, director of ‘When People Speak’ said that he made the film without a script and still does not know in which genre it falls. “Even now I think it’s not a complete film, it’s just an idea,” he said.

The film ‘Plant and Me’ is about the dialogue between a plant and a child. Suresh Babu, its director, said that the film gives a total education for the child; scientific, academic and spiritual.

Jeo Baby, director of ‘Chimera’ and Rudradeep Bhattacharjee, director of ‘The Human Factor’, were also present.
