Indefinite strike from June 20

Express News Service

KSEB contract workers have called for an indefinite strike from June 20 across the state. The strike will be organised by the KSEB Contract Workers’ Federation, raising several demands.

The major demands include clearance of pending dues of around 10,000 contract workers, provision of job to the dependents of contract workers who died on duty, regularisation of appointment of contract workers and drop the attempt to send away workers.

In a press meet here on Friday, Federation president R Lakshmana Iyer said that the contract workers under the board had not been given their monthly wages for past five months.
