The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday conducted surprise checks at the houses of around 35 government service doctors across the state and found that 15 of them were doing private practice.
The surprise check codenamed ‘operation practice’ was carried out at the houses of the doctors who had been under surveillance of the VACB for the past few months, as it had received complaints about the private practice of government doctors. “Around 15 doctors had patients at their residences at the time of the surprise check. The report will be submitted to the govt” said VACB director Mahesh Kumar Singla.
