Home department nod for advance increment

The State Home Department has sanctioned an advance increment to  the ministerial cadre of the subordinate judiciary. The decision was taken on the basis of the Shetty Commission recommendations and the order of the Supreme Court on a writ petition.  The increment will come into effect from April 1, 2003.

Shirastadar of CJM court, shirastadar of additional district courts and equated categories who are not entitled to the upgraded post in the scale Rs 7800-12,975, principal counsellors of family courts, shirastadar of sub courts, senior superintendents/equivalent posts, junior superintendents in civil and criminal wing, including head clerk of MACT, head clerk of munciff magistrate courts and head clerk of CJM courts have been listed for the advance increments.

Head clerk, bench clerk, central nazir, UD clerks, Kannada translator,  deputy nazir, LD clerks/equated categories, selection grade confidential assistant (civil and criminal wing), fair copy superintendent,  typist, amin, driver, attender, duffedar and peon are the other posts for which the advance increment has been sanctioned.

For those who had been continuing in any of the posts mentioned above as on April 4, 2003 will be sanctioned the advance increment in the existing scale as on 1.4.2003. The advance increment will be sanctioned only once  during the whole service period of the eligible administrative cadre in  the subordinate judiciary.

This benefit will not be applicable to the other cadre in the subordinate judiciary, or similar posts in government departments or quasi judicial bodies, even if all these appointments were made from the same PSC list, a GO issued by Principal Secretary (Home) L Radhakrishnan said.
