Schools in district excel in CBSE exams

Students from schools in Thiruvananthapuram came out with flying colours in the CBSE Class X and XII examinations, the results of which were announced recently.

In Christ Nagar School, Thiruvallam, a total of 145 students appeared for the Class XII examination, of whom 101 secured distinction. Ritika Nair and Anakha K Vijay were toppers with 97.2 per cent marks each followed by Asma A with 96 per cent in second position and Prince Mathew and Meenakshi Pradeep with 95.2 per cent each in the third position. In the Commerce stream, Emy Grace Paul with 96 per cent marks was the topper followed by Rinna Rachel with 93.8 per cent in the second spot. In the Class X examination, 60 out of the 222 Christ Nagar students who appeared for the exam secured A1 for all subjects.

Out of the 101 students of Navajeevan Bethany Vidyalaya, Nalanchira, who appeared for Class X examinations, 12 students secured grade point 10, 67 achieved distinction, 31 scored first class and the rest got second class. In the Class XII examination, there were 23 students with distinction, 46 with first class and 19 with second class.

The School of the Good Shepherd, Akkulam, achieved all pass in the Class X examination. While nine students got A1 in all subjects, 17 students secured 90 per cent marks and 26 secured 80 per cent marks.

Sainik School, Kazhakoottam secured all pass in both Class X and Class XII exams. In Class X, out of the 101 students who appeared, 26 secured A1 in all subjects. In Class XII, out of the 86 students who appeared, 36 secured distinction with 6 of them scoring more than 90 per cent in aggregate. Cadet Shiv Shekar Sharma claimed the top honour with 96.2 per cent. He also secured 98 marks in Chemistry and Biology. Cadet K R Vishnu Narayanan secured 95.8 per cent with 99 marks in Mathematics and came second.
