THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Kalaripayattu Association has alleged that paper organisations by the names of ‘Kerala Sports Kalaripayattu Association’ and ‘National Kalaripayattu Federation’ were engaged in fraudulent activities in the state.

“These associations, which were registered in 2013, had been conducting training, by charging around Rs 10,000, claiming that they were recognised by the Kerala Olympic Association and the Central Govt,” Poonthura Soman,  honorary secretary of the Kerala Kalaripayattu Association, said.

“The Kerala Kalaripayattu Association is the only ‘kalaripayattu’ organisation recognised in the state by the Kerala State Sports Council,” he said.
