Amaravati twin towers’ design gets Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu nod

VIJAYAWADA: Architects from the Shapoorji Pallonji presented designs of the Amaravati Iconic Twin-Towers before Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi on Monday.After the architects explained the design strategy, the context and the composition planned for the property, Naidu said that he wants a case study done on the top 10 towers, about their compositions. He said that the team must derive inspiration from the iconic towers across the world like Burj Khalifa in Dubai or other skyscrapers in Singapore and Malaysia.

Naidu also suggested that the towers must complement greenery, waterfront and represent the  dynamic personality of the Andhra citizen.As per the designs, the towers will comprise of office spaces (55-57%), shopping areas (12-13%), hotel (12%) and service apartments (8%). The Chief Minister approved the designs and gave the architects some feedback to work on. “Not just the facade, but the activities we have, must attract tourists. We need to apply the best of business sense to capitalise on different activities,” Naidu said.
