GVL Narasimha Rao moves Breach of Privilege notice against TDP leaders

VIJAYAWADA: BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao on Monday moved a Breach of Privilege notice against TDP leaders for openly threatening him of dire consequences for exposing the negligence of AP state government in implementing the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone for Prakasam district.

In the notice submitted to Rajya Sabha chairperson M Venkaiah Naidu, Narasimha Rao said that after his my speech in Rajya Sabha on July 24, in the course of the short duration discussion on Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, he had referred for the first time in public domain the negligence on part of AP State government in implementing the NIMZ sanctioned for Prakasam district in 2015.

Reacting to it, at a press conference in TDP office in Vijayawada on July 27, official representatives of the TDP have issued a 'Public Threat of Dire Consequences’ for exposing the TDP government’s failures, Narasimha Rao said and attached the copies (print and video) in support of his complaint.

“On a daily basis, threats of violence and harm are being issued against me on all platforms of social media by TDP’s official members. This is a serious violation of my privilege as an MP,’’ Narasimha Rao said in the notice.
