HYDERABAD: Saffron is the new Pink for Bodige Shobha, who has finally called it quits with the TRS. The firebrand leader of Choppadandi joined the State BJP on Thursday along with her followers.
She did not waste a minute in attacking her former “employer” as she asked if K Kavitha, daughter in the ruling family, was the “only daughter of Telangana.”

She slammed K Chandrasekhar Rao for leaving her in a lurch for 70 days by denying a party ticket. She alleged that TRS MP Santosh Kumar was the reason she was not given a ticket. “I waited for 70 days even as the Chief Minister announced 105 candidates. I met KT Rama Rao, Keshava Rao, Kalvakuntla Kavitha and B Vinod Kumar,” she said speaking from the BJP office.

“I asked for a one-minute phone call with the Chief Minister but even that was denied. This is despite the fact that I am a revolutionary child who was part of the Telangana agitation,” she claimed.
Attacking Kavitha again, she asked “why debates about reservation (for women) was being held only in Parliament.”

“Why shouldn’t I be there,” the former Choppadandi MLA asked, questioning TRS for denying ticket to a woman, amid thunderous applause from her loyalists.
