Footwear and apparel brand Woodland has launched a special-edition t-shirt collection to raise funds for Unicef's wash programme in the country.

Unicef wash programme aims to provide safe drinking water to families in rural India and the special edition collection is available across Woodland Stores for the month of June only.

"Every day, people around the world spend 200 million hours collecting water -- usually women and girls walking with heavy loads. With the launch of these t-shirts, we want to do our bit towards this section of the society that is deprived of the most basic necessity of life," said Harkirat Singh, managing director, Woodland, in a statement.

The areas that have been helped previously through Unicef support initiatives done by Woodland are Tonk district in Rajasthan, Chandrapur district of Maharashtra and Mandla district, in Madhya Pradesh.
