LONDON: Singer Sam Smith and British rock band Kasabian will perform at the first edition of Global Awards.

Launched on Sunday by radio brand Global, the new ceremony will combine different stations to create a platform to recognise the best in music, entertainment and news.

Smith and the band, fronted by Tom Meighan, will be performing on March 1, 2018 at Hammersmith Eventim Apollo here, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Artistes like Rita Ora, Andrea Bocelli and Martin Garrix might also join them.

Recipients of Global Awards will be voted by both the public and a panel of industry experts.
