LOS ANGELES: Kristen Wiig's return to television is not happening any time soon as the actor has opted out of the untitled comedy by Apple due to conflict in the filming schedule for "Wonder Woman 1984".

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the planned production schedule for the show overlapped with the actor's shooting schedule for the Patty Jenkins-directed film, in which she plays the villain, Cheetah.

The 10-episode comedy inspired by Curtis Sittenfeld's upcoming short-story collection "You Think It, I'll Say It", is currently on hold.

This was Apple's first scripted comedy order.

Wiig, 44, was last seen on the small screen in "Saturday Night Live", where she was a regular from 2005-2012 and earned three supporting actress in a comedy Emmy nominations.
