Sony Pictures reveals the voice cast behind Scarlet Spider in 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse'

Created by writer Gerry Conway, Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider first appeared in 1975's The Amazing Spider-Man #149 as a clone of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

We know that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set in a shared multiverse called Spider-Verse. The film will feature a handful of spider-people from various universes.

Actors who voice different spider people were already up in the limelight except for the character Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider. On Tuesday, the makers revealed actor Andy Samberg would be lending his voice to the role.  

Created by writer Gerry Conway, Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider first appeared in 1975's The Amazing Spider-Man #149 as a clone of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. 

Besides Andy Samberg, the film also features Amanda Stenberg as Spider-Byte, Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Oscar Isaac as Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, Karani Soni as Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India and Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk.

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is penned by Phil Lord along with Christopher Miller and David Callaham.

The film will hit the theatres on June 2.
