'Thaandavam' changes venue

As the US visa procedures become more stringent, the film unit decided to shoot this action entertainer in England.

It was earlier announced that most of director A L Vijay’s Thaandavam would be shot in the US. But now it seems like the venue has been changed and the crew is UK bound.

But why?  “The US visa procedures have become more stringent and a few members of the Thaandavam unit have not been granted visas. This is why they settled for the UK, which is comparatively liberal. This change of venue has cost the producers dearly, as it’s more expensive to shoot in the UK,” the source informs us.

In this action entertainer, the lead actors Vikram and Jagapati Babu who play cops will fly to the UK from Delhi on a mission. “That is followed by a flashback episode that will transport the audience to a town in Tamil Nadu, where Anushka’s portions will feature,” the source adds.

Actor Amy Jackson plays an important role in the action flick, while the latest to join the cast is Lakshmi Rai, who featured in the blockbuster Mankatha last year.

While Lakshmi Rai’s role has not been revealed, it is obvious that the presence of three damsels will mean a high glam quotient for the slick flick.
