Actor Vijay’s birthday, which falls on June 22, will be celebrated with a charitable cause. On the occasion, members of his fan club have planned to donate Rs 1 crore for the welfare of the needy.
The news of the donation will be announced by his fans on June 8 at a function at Meenambakkam.
Popular playback singers along with music band Lakshman Shruthi will perform at the function during which the announcement is to be made. Apart from Vijay’s fans, public and human welfare organisation members will also attend the function.
Justice Jothimani will preside over the function and also distribute saplings to create awareness on afforestation.
The actor will also give away computers, sewing machines and wheel chairs to the physically-challenged.Vijay’s father director S A Chandrasekar and Royal Thiyagarajan will address the gathering.
