Nandita is excited that her role as a coach in Ethirneechal is bringing accolades. Next on the actor’s agenda is her maiden trip to Switzerland to celebrate the success of Ethirneechal, organised by Vendhar Movies in Geneva, as well as the audio launch function of her upcoming film Nalanum Nandiniyum.
Things couldn’t get better for the pretty actor, who is lapping it all up. “Two of my films are going to be showcased in Switzerland and I’m thrilled! I never expected things to go this way, but I am enjoying whatever life is bringing me at present,” she says.
Nalanum Nandiniyum has her playing a mature character opposite Michael. “I’m playing a wife’s role for the first time. It was challenging to portray a most loving couple, but without the usual romantic scenes and intimacy. I had to show love through my eyes even while speaking long dialogues in Madurai slang,” she recalls.
Co-star Michael was a big help, rehearsing the scenes with her beforehand and helping her choose from the variations she was able to come up with. “After this movie, every one will form a very different opinion about me. All boys will wish to have a wife like my character,” she says.
Nandita’s career is on the upswing, as she teams up with K-town’s hot favourite Vijay Sethupathy in Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (IAB). “Vijay plays Sumar Moonji Kumar and I am Kumudha, his neighbour. It’s a comedy film centred around their love. As Valli, I cried a lot and now Kumudha is just the opposite. I just loved playing the character and it’s an unusual love story directed by Gokul.
Kumudha is a middle-class Chennai college girl and Nandita’s look in the film is different from what she played in Attakathi with long skirts and cute mannerisms.
