After Jodha Akbar, the actor will be playing a warrior second time in Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi.
The actor will be essaying the role of a warrior, Sadashiv, in the historical drama. He is already said to have begun preparations for the film.
Confirming the news Sonu Sood said, “It is challenging to play a real life character because you know that it existed in the history and you have certain parameters to follow and stay within.
I’m sure when you’re working with a brilliant director like Krish, a huge ensemble and a brilliant technical team; there is no way to go wrong. So we are all on our toes to give our best.”
Along with Kangana and Sood the film will also feature Atul Kulkarni, Ankita Lokhande and Arjan Bajwa in pivotal roles. Directed by Krrish and co-produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and co-produced by Nishant Pitti, Manikarnika is slated to release on April 27, 2018.
