BANGALORE: The multi-heroine movie — ‘Aaptha’ — is all set to release shortly. M Sanjeevkuamr makes his debut as a director in Sandalwood with this movie. The USP of this movie is five heroines — Pooja Gandhi, Pragna, Poonam Singaar, Manasi Vasidev and Bhavyakala.
Neerajshyam is the hero.
The movie ‘Aaptha’ is expected to be screened for the members of Regional Censor Board for certificate. According to Sanjeevkumar, ‘Aaptha’ is a suspense thriller. “We have organized private screening of ‘Aaptha’ for the artistes and technicians. Pooja Gandhi was very happy over it. She told me that it is the first movie that enabled her to showcase her acting skills,” says Sanjeev Kumar.
The other USP is Ravi Kiran, who is very popular among TV artistes, makes a comeback with this movie after a gap of 10 years.
“The other speciality of this movie is Sadhu Kokila. He is playing a beggar who uses a special chair. His dialogues and body language are an added attraction,” says the director.
The shooting of ‘Aaptha’ was held in Bangalore, Mysore, Mandya, Srirangapatna. “We filmed a song sequence at Golconda in Hyderabad. It has five songs and three of them have become favourites of music lovers,” the director said.
As far as the script of ‘Aaptha’ is concerned, it has a message to society, especially to girls who come to city to pursue higher education. “It has a message on the ill-effects of ragging at college campus,” he said. He had worked as associate director for 16 years in Telugu film industry.
He handled the megaphone for films such as ‘Aghora’, ‘Colours’, ‘Manasundhiraa’ and ‘Pourusham’. “I had also worked as an associate for Kannada film ‘Anu’,” he said.
