BANGALORE: Golden Star Ganesh is busy making arrangements for the release of his maiden directorial venture — Kool - Sakkat Hot Magaa. He also plans to launch the audio of the movie within a few days.
As of now, he has a co-marketing tie-up with Godrej Appliances as part of the promotional activities. ‘‘I could not resist the offer from Godrej Appliances once approached. I hope to reach out to non-Kannada cinegoers as well through this tie up,’’ said Ganesh.
Stating that he became a hero by fluke, married Shilpa in a similar manner and even handled the megaphone for Kool - Sakat Hot Maga the same way, Ganesh said, ‘‘I request my well-wishers and fans to support me in this venture.’’
Shilpa Ganesh said that the tie-up would help both — Godrej Appliances and Kool - Sakat Hot Maga. ‘‘We will continue our association with Godrej Appliances,’’ said Shilpa. As per the tie-up, the consumers who buy Godrej refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and microwaves would get an opportunity to win some exciting prizes and loads of Kool goodies including a chance to act in Ganesh's next home production.
Fifty lucky couples will get a chance to meet Ganesh and dine with him. The consumers can also win free movie tickets to Kool - Sakkat Hot Magaa and watch the movie with the star cast. Around 350 consumers will get free tickets to watch the movie. The lucky winners can get free Timex watches and Kool lunch-ware.
Kool - Sakkat Hot Maga is expected to hit the silver screen in April. Ratnavel has worked behind the camera while editing has been done by Anthony who worked for movies like My Name is Khan and 3 Idiots. Sonu Nigam, Shaan and Shreya Goshal are the playback singers.
