Confusion has been sprouting over Veena Malik’s latest film Silk - Sakkath Hot Maga. There are rumours doing the rounds that a local court has stayed the screening of the film after a case was filed by Bhimashankar Patil, the president of Karnataka Nirvana Sene, who felt that the film was vulgar and obscene. However, director Trishul has rubbished the rumours.

“Patil has not watched the movie, but has only raised objections after watching some scenes on a social networking site. I am soon planning to have a special screening for women who will decide whether the film is vulgar,” he says.

But the threat from the Sene has affected the film, with 40 theatres across Karnataka hesitant to screen the movie.

The film faced problems during the time of its launch too, with Bollywood filmmaker Ekta Kapoor filing a case against the Kannada film over its title.
