Ugramm has hit the right chord with the audiences, and, as per the latest speculations, its satellite price is being pegged at Rs 2.5 to 3 crore, a personal career high for actor Sri Murali. However, director Prashanth is taking his time in selling to TV channels.

“The price of the film has jumped up from what we had expected. As of now, we would want to wait for a while as theatre audiences are still queuing up. Until release, we hadn’t given a thought to satellite rights. Now that the storm has cleared, we will think about it,” he says.

Meanwhile, Prashanth plans to have a special screening of Ugramm in Chennai and Hyderabad. The grapevine says that Prabhas is keen to star in the Telugu remake of the film. “I have organised a screening for a select set, it’s not a celebrity show. Of course, there is a buzz on with other language industries wanting to buy the remake rights, but we are yet to finalise on it. Our cinematographer Ravi Varman who has a lot of contacts in other regions is showing interest and helping us reach out to the right people. In fact, he feels that a major part of the film can be customised into other languages, especially the second half. Let me not blow my own trumpet, before anything is confirmed,” says Prashanth.
