Krishna Leela's Unique Trailer

A Sharadhaa

Ajai Rao who has joined hands with director Shashank is leaving no stone unturned for the publicity of his upcoming film Krishna Leela. He wants the film to do all the talking and has come up with an innovative campaign to launch it. Ajay in his latest tweet about the film says, 'A unique concept, first of its kind!Proudly my first production :)'

In the novel audio-dialogue teaser of Krishna Leela, Ajai introduces himself as Smile Krishna and Mayuri as Flower Leela. The teaser also  gives us a glimpse of the other characters in the film. Shashank explains how this unique dialogue trailer was conceived by the team for Krishna Leela. "Today, regular film trailers have become very common and they reveal the content, the characters, plot snippets as well as the making of the film. Although we will have a theatrical trailer sometime later, we thought that this was a good teaser campaign. The concept also works because dialogue plays a very important role in Krishna Leela. In all my films till date, I have not given so much importance to dialogues as I have for this film. Of course, it also depends on the story. Since, this is a film that runs on small fights, conversation becomes very important and only punchy dialogues add strength to the film," explains Shashank.

Reminiscing about his college days, the director says, "I still remember, when I was in college and when we used to listen to film music, we would imagine the picturisation of the song. Today, we don't have any room for people to imagine a story or the characters as we keep plying them with teasers.  Today, nobody buys CDs and soundtracks of films as they prefer to watch it on their desks. We have tried to make use of social networking sites and electronic media in the right way with this dialogue trailer," he says.

Krishna Leela is an incident-based film and according to Shashank, apart from the lead pair, Dharmendra Urs, Rangayana Raghu, Tabla Naani and Achyuth Kumar are pillars of the film. "Krishna Leela gives you a realistic touch and so the dialogues are not exaggerated or melodramatic.”
