Suni, known for the trend-setting trailer of his debut Simple Agi Ondh Love Story, is readying to bring out a teaser for its sequel, Simplag Innondh Love Story, on Sankranti.
“I am working on it to bring the same freshness and simplicity the viewers saw with my previous film. I am hoping it will be ready by January 14,” he says.
He and producer Ashu Bedra had visited Mumbai to record the song in Sonu Nigam’s voice.
“Whoever heard the lyrics — Thusu preethiya pisu nudige — said Sonu’s voice would suit this romantic number. He sang it on Monday evening, and later appreciated the music director’s score,” says Suni.
The film will have five songs by two music directors, Sai Kiran and B J Bharath. “The song Sonu Nigam sang was composed by Sai Kiran.”
The storyline for the sequel was ready even before his debut’s, Suni told City Express. “I had planned a film titled Kush Kushiyalli with Sai Kiran when he had composed a couple of songs for me. But the film did not take off and I did Simple Agi Ondh Love Story,” he says. “Now I renamed it Simplag Inodhu Love Story, and once again Sai Kiran came into the picture.”
While Simple Agi Ondh Love Story saw Rakshit Shetty and Shweta Srivatsav, this one will have Praveen and Meghana Goankar in the lead. “We have completed the shoot, and the film is now in post-production. We will release the audio soon as we plan a release date.”
