Nataraja Service Camps in Yellapura Forest

This is the first time Sharan and Mayuri will be sharing screen space

The cast and crew of Nataraja Service -- including lead actors Sharan and Mayuri and director Pavan Wadeyar -- will be camping at Yellapur forests and Dandeli for the next 25 days.

The major talkie portions of the film, which is produced by N S Rajkumar and presented by Puneeth Rajkumar, will be shot in the forest. “We will eventually go till the Goa border,” says Pavan.

Yellapura is becoming a favourite destination among Sandalwood filmmakers. While Ram Gopal Varma shot a few scenes of Killing Veerappan there, Pavan himself had chosen the spot for a romantic song with Parul and Dhananjay in Jessie. “On my way back to Bengaluru after shooting Jessie, I came across a couple of locations that I felt would be suitable for Nataraja Service. When I wrote the script, I visualised a dargah with a white backdrop. It was exciting to actually find a place that matched my imagination,” says Pavan.

Filmmakers should take pains to explore different places to find their perfect shooting spots, he adds.

And Pavan is glad that the weather is perfect. “I am looking forward to being in the midst of the early morning fog and capturing the golden rays of the sunrise. I like to make use of natural resources while shooting for my films,” Pavan says.

This is the first time actors Sharan and Mayuri will work together.
