Looks like Sudeep-starrer Kotigobba 2, eyeing a festive release, will be a treat for his legion of fans who have been waiting to watch the star on screen.

It will of course be a double dhamaka because the film, being a bilingual, is simultaneously releasing in Tamil.

Directed by KS Ravi Kumar, the film will be heading to the censors this weekend. If everything goes as planned, the film will mostly likely to hit theatres on August 12, on Varamahalakshmi day.

"I can't confirm the release date, until and unless we get the censor certificate in our hand. But we are hopeful of releasing around the festival," he told City Express.

Meanwhile, the audio launch of the Tamil version Mudinja Ivana Pudi will be taking place in Chennai on July 20. And according to the producer Surappa Babu, the audio launch will be graced by Dhanush, Shivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi. "Kamal Haasan was also invited but he had to back out because of his injury. We will follow with another event in Bengaluru soon," says Surappa Babu.

With Nithya Menen playing the female lead, the film has D Imman's music and cinematography by Rajarathinam.
