Thoogudeepa distributions bags NRA rights of Pushpaka Vimana

Ramesh Arvind’s 100th film has been the talk of the town, now its audio and whopping distribution price add to the buzz

A Sharadhaa

The expectations and buzz around Ramesh Aravind’s 100th film Pushpaka Vimana is only rising by the day. And with the audio launch just around the corner, on October 1, its Jilka Jilka song featuring Juhi Chawla is now grabbing the eyeballs. Says Vikyath, one of the producers of the film,  “All credit goes to lyricist Pavan Wadeyar, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, music director Charan Raj and art director Kaddi Shivu, without whom this song wouldn’t have been possible. Even Juhi Chawla appreciated the song and has sent her best wishes.” The film has four songs and two theme songs, all of which will be released this weekend.

While the satellite rights of the film have gone for a big price, another big news from the makers is that Thoogudeepa Distributions owned by brothers Darshan and Dinakar has sealed the NRA (Non-Returnable Advance) distribution of the film, which we hear is the highest in Ramesh Aravind’s career.

“The film has gone for the biggest rate in Kannada industry under the NRA distribution,” says Vikyath.

“Darshan had watched our trailer and appreciated it. Now in the final leg of the post production, the team from the distribution company caught a glimpse of our making and were very impressed. They came forward with an excellent proposal and snapped the NRA rights for the Karnataka region.”

The film directed by S Ravindranath will be going for censors in a few days and the release will follow soon after.

“We are hoping to come out with the film this Deepavali,” says Vikyath, “We want Pushpaka Vimana to bring in light in  everyone’s life.”
