Bulbul jodi back on silver screen?

Filmmakers of Darshan’s next film, directed by Pon Kumar and produced by Shylaja Nag and B Suresh, are likely to rope in Rachita Ram to play female lead

A Sharadhaa

Even as Darshan is engrossed in playing Duryodhana, busy shooting for Muniratna Kurukshetra, rumours about his next project with producers B Suresh and Shylaja have been doing the rounds.

Darshan

There has been much interest in the project, ever since it was announced. According to latest reports, the yet-to-be titled film directed by Pon Kumar may rope in Rachita Ram to play the female lead. This means that the hit Bulbul pair will be back on screen.

The filmmakers have remained tightlipped about the casting, but we hear that they believe the actress fits the character to the T. The production house is yet to sign a formal agreement with Rachita and they are waiting for the right time to make an official announcement.

Our source says, “The team is particular that no details of Darshan’s 51st film are made public until the actor has completed shoot of Kurukshetra. They will confirm the casting and share other details only when the film goes on floors.”

Rachita Ram

Rachita Ram began her tinsel town career with Darshan in Bulbul, and  followed that with Ambareesha. If all goes according to plan, this will be Rachita’s third outing with the Challenging Star. She has always considered Darshan and his brother Dinakar Thoogudeepa her mentors, and has expressed this in many forums. This third film with Darshan would be like a second innings for the actress for she gets work with one of top stars in Sandalwood.  But for confirmation on this news, we need to wait for the
producers to finalise on the cast.

Currently, Rachita is juggling between two projects Johnny Johnny Yes Papa with Duniya Vijay, slated to complete shoot by mid December, while her other film Ayogya with Ninasam has started rolling.
