Rockline Venkatesh, Puneeth back together after 11 yrs

Director Vetrimaran meets actor and producer in Bengaluru this week; project to likely to go on floors after Anjaniputra

A Sharadhaa

There have been reports about director Vetrimaaran and actor Puneeth Rajkumar planning to work in a film to be produced by Rockline Venkatesh. And we now hear that the director, producer and actor had a meeting on Thursday. The trio infact have been having a series of discussions before finalising the script.

If all goes as planned, the film with Vetrimaaran will start as and when Puneeth completes shooting for Harsha’s Anjaniptura, which is likely to be by October. “The story has been approved by Puneeth and the director is currently working on the screenplay and dialogues,” the producer tells us.

The project that marks Vetrimaran’s debut in Kannada will also have Rockline Venkatesh and Puneeth Rajkumar working together after 11 years. The two had earlier teamed up for two films - Maurya and Ajay -- and the latter was released in 2006. “We both have been waiting for a good subject to come up, for us to work together, and it has now come through,” he says.

With two industry biggies joining hands, and a new subject being presented by Vetrimaran for the actor, we should be expecting blockbuster hit in Kannada industry.
