Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow, goes a famous saying. It is the hope for a better tomorrow that forms the crux of debut director Siju S Bava’s upcoming movie Nale, an out-an-out entertainer woven as a romantic thriller.
“We all are hopeful about our tomorrows and there resides a feeling that everything will be ok in the days to come,” says director Siju.
Starring Fahad Fasil, Nale narrates the tale of Navjot, a young and vibrant youth working in the advertising field. “He is a creative director of an ad agency. He has a colleague and partner Angelina,” says Siju who has penned the story of the film. Malavika Mohan essays the role of Angelina, one of the lead ladies in the movie. Sreenath Bhasi plays the role of Jiyad. “He is a cinematographer,” he adds. Together they will go out for an ad shoot and how some incidents and social situations change their life forever, forms the rest of the plot.
Nale is on the things that we usually overlook sometimes subconsciously and sometimes intentionally. It deals with a subject that we have seen around us and have forgotten,” explains Siju. “In the current busy life, we often forget our own true behaviour and live in a shell of pretensions,” he adds.
Mukesh, KPAC Lalitha, Darshana, Rajendran, Alencier, Gopalan, James Thrissur, Jayaprakash Kuloor, and Benoy Nambala also play prominent roles in the film. “Mukesh plays a bureaucrat, while KPAC Lalitha portrays Mercy Teacher, a writer,” adds Siju.
The shoot is scheduled to start from the second week of this month in Kochi, Kaanthallor, Pooyamkutty, and Thiruvananthapuram. Music is by Rex Vijayan. “There will be eight tracks in the film,” says Siju.
The camera is cranked by Jayesh and editing is by Vivek Harshan. The film, presented by Director Cutz in association with E4 Entertainment, is expected to release by May end.
