Mohanlal to star in pan-India film 'Vrushabha', to release next year

Balaji Telefilms is producing the film in association with Connekkt Media and AVS Studios. Vrushabha will mark Mohanlal’s first collaboration with Ekta Kapoor.

MUMBAI: Mohanlal is collaborating with producer Ekta Kapoor for an upcoming pan-Indian film titled, Vrushabha. 

Directed by Kannada filmmaker Nanda Kishore, it will be shot in Malayalam and Telugu, and later dubbed in other languages. Ekta Kapoor’s 

Balaji Telefilms is producing the film in association with Connekkt Media and AVS Studios. Vrushabha will mark Mohanlal’s first collaboration with Ekta Kapoor. Billed as an action entertainer, the film is set to go on floors later this month.

Mohanlal was last seen in the Shaji Kailas directorial Alone. The actor has a slew of films in the pipeline, including Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malaikottai Valiban, Jeethu Joseph’s Ram, and his own directorial Barroz, in different stages of production. 

The Drishyam actor will next be seen in Rajinikanth’s Jailer in a cameo role. Empuraan, the sequel to his 2019 film Lucifer, is also in the pre-production stage.
