The Sundar C starrer Perumal has just released and the one man who couldn’t be happier is singer M K M Arivunidhi who hails from none other than the CM’s family. However, unlike some of  the other members he is not into film production but has chosen to unveil an intrinsic talent of his own. For Arivunidhi this is his first attempt at playback singing. Speaking to the media he reveals more.

In Perumal, his song is composed by Srikanth Deva and filmed on Namitha and Sundar C. How did he get into playback singing? He explains, “Arulmozhi, son of producer Pa Shanmugam is my friend. He had heard my previous album of devotional songs. He spoke to Srikanth Deva about my voice when he was composing for Perumal. They found my voice apt for the number and that’s how we recorded the song.”

The song is a remix of the original 'Kadhal Vaibhogame' and the voice of singer Janaki has been retained. The recording was completed in an hour and Sundar C was very impressed by his professionalism.

Arivunidhi is happy about the reach of the song in countries as far away as Singapore and Malaysia. “I will sing if I get more opportunities,” he  nods  when asked about his next move. What kind of songs is his voice apt for? “That depends on the music directors. Whatever type of song they think my voice is best suited for, they will use me for that,” he shrugs. Arivunidhi is clearly happy that he has taken the first step. Now it’s upto Kollywood and his fans to decide how long this journey is going to be!
