With Ashta Chamma girl Swati and Kamal Kamaraju of Avakayi Biryani fame in the lead, a film titled Kalavaramaye Madilo was launched at a function at Annapurna Studios in the city on Thursday. Satish Kasetty, who earlier directed award-winning film Hope wields the megaphone.
“It is the tale of a girl who aims to become a big singer. It’s about turns her life takes when hero enters her life on her journey to fame. It will remain one of the most challenging roles in Swati’s career,” said director Satish Kasetty. Kamal said that he was excited to do a challenging role. “It’s love story with family drama and runs in musical backdrop,” said Mohan Vadlapatla, who is producing the film under Mohan Media Creations banner. Malayali composer Sarat Vasudevan scores the music. Dialogue writer Lakshmi Bhupal, Tanikella Bharani, Delhi Rajeswari, Swati, mimicry duo Komali Sisters and actor Venu were among those present on the occasion. Dil Raju unveiled the logo of the film. Vikram Gokhale, who played Aishwarya Rai’s father in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam makes his Telugu debut with the film. Jayasudha appears in another important role.
The film is expected to be released in May.
