AFTER being crowned the most played song on radio, winning itself a Guiness Book of World Records entry, AR Rahman’s Taxi Taxi, which featured in 'Sakkarakatti', has won itself another honour: being the Kalakkal song as part of the Moodukketha Mix Radio Awards conducted by Big 92.7 FM.

The awards, a one-of-its-kind initiative by Big FM, planned to identify the most popular song in Tamil history, based on the air time it enjoyed in 2008, apart from the votes of the listeners. The awards were categorized as Kalakkal Paatu award, Time pass paatu award, Jil Jil Paatu, Recharge paatu award and Love Paatu Award, with Taxi Taxi from the Shanthanu-Vedika starrer, being qualified for the Kalakkal Paatu Award.

In order to congratulate AR Rahman and present him this award, RJs Dheena and Desigan met the academy award-winning musician at his home. “I thank all music lovers and radio listeners to have voted my song for this category,” said the musician. The songs that have won in other categories will be revealed shortly.
