Actress Padmapriya believes in following her dreams. The actress, who impressed audiences and critics with noteworthy performances in films like 'Satham Podathey', 'Thavamai Thavamirundhu', 'Pokkisham' and 'Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam', believes in listening to her heart. And her heart seems to have told her to pursue her education in Public Administration. So, accordingly, the actress has decided to head to the US to pursue her higher studies.

Says the actress, “Yes, it is true. I will be off to the US to pursue my higher studies in Public Administration. I am looking at admissions during the next fall.”

But which University will she be heading to?

Says Padmapriya, “That hasn’t been decided yet. I have to decide between two universities — New York and the Columbia University. I’ll take a decision sometime later.”

The move clearly indicates that she is not going to allow herself  to be bogged down by the pressures generated by an industry that is fiercely competitive. Does this mean she is going to put an end to her acting career?

“No way,” says the actress, who goes on to explain her decision. “Just because I have chosen to pursue my education does not mean that I will stop acting. In the US, unlike India, one will have time to do several other things even while studying and I intend to use it to act.”

After completing her studies, will the actress take up a job in administration?

“It is too early to actually think about it. I don’t think that far. I am someone who follows my heart. As of now, I feel like pursuing my education and so am doing this. If half-way through I don’t feel like doing it, I might choose to walk out of it.”
