Bollywood filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar, known for his movie "Shaitan", has bought the Hindi remake rights of Tamil horror-thriller "Pizza". He will only produce the film.
"I have bought the Hindi remake rights of "Pizza", but I won't direct it. I intend to produce the film under my banner Getaway Films. We are in the process of zeroing in on the cast and director. Once we are done with all that, I'll make the official announcement," Nambiar told IANS.
"Pizza", which was made at a shoestring budget, was the recent surprise hit in Tamil. It revolves around a pizza delivery boy, played by Vijay Sethupathi, whose life undergoes dramatic changes during on one of his home delivery trips.
The film, which raked in Rs.1.85 crore in its first two weeks, was also picked up for a Telugu version by Suresh Kondeti.
Out of 13 Tamil films released in October, "Pizza", which was directed by Karthik Subbaraj, evolved as the sole winner at the box-office.
