Rinku Gupta

Actor Sharan Kumar, who debuted with Duet Movies’ Inidhu Inidhu, a remake of Happy Days (Telugu), is now back with another film titled Issaki. The movie, directed by debutant M Ganesan, is a love story.

Sharan had a small line-up of films after his debut, such as Pathrama Pathukonga and Vada Poda Nanbargal, which had a lukewarm reception at the box office. But the actor is positive about his next venture. The heroine is Ashitha, who makes her Kollywood entry after films in Telugu and Kannada. The film, which is in the final stages of production, has Sharan playing a car driver, while Ashitha plays a teacher. The cast is made up of actors Pasanga Siva, Chitra Laxman, Lollu Sabha Jiva and Yogi Ram. The music is by Shrikanth Deva.

The shoot took place in and around Madurai, Karaikudi, Ooty, Dindigul and Chennai.

The film is touted to be a family entertainer with a large dose of commercial elements to keep the masses entertained.
