U P Maruthu, who brought thousands of households to a standstill with his mega-serial Athipookal, now makes a foray into films with Agathinai. Mahima, who has done a few character roles on TV and in films, will be the leading lady. The director says that the film is going to focus on love as it was depicted in the ancient texts - except it’s going to be set in an urban setting. Length and editing may be the only points of concern, given how long Athipookal was on the air!
