Manigandan KR

Actress Trisha, whose next film is titled Nayagi, is to sing the title track of the film. Raghu Kunche, the music director of the film, disclosed this piece of information on the occasion of the film’s pooja which was held recently at the AVM studios in the city. The music director said, “Trisha will be singing the title track of this film.”

Commenting on his film, director Kovi said, “This film is a horror comedy and will be more advanced than other films in the same genre. The film will have 98 per cent comedy and two percent horror. Trisha will be seen in a role that she has not been seen in before. The cast is huge and includes Jayaprakash, Brahmanandam, Mano Bala, Telugu comedian Sathyan and Kovai Sarala.”

The film is being produced by Giridhar, who has been Trisha’s manager for a long time now.

Speaking on the occasion, Trisha said, “ Firstly, I want to thank Giridhar.  He has been handling my work for the last eight years.  Three years ago, he came home and told me that we must do a film together.  At that point, I said, ‘Let’s see’.  Today, finally, our dream has come true. When director Govi first narrated the script, he took an hour. But within the first ten minutes itself, I knew I would do this film. I sport an eighties look in Nayagi. But I will not disclose whether I am a ghost or a killer or a victim in this film. You can call this a retro-horror film.”

Ganesh Venkatram,  who has worked with Trisha before in Abhiyum Naanum, will be working with her again in this film.  The first schedule of the film is to be shot in Chennai.
