It’s well-known that a few Chennai and Bengaluru-based startups have declared Friday a holiday on account of Kabali’s release. But that’s not all — the management of an online customer support software provider has booked an entire cinema hall for its employees! Sources say that the management is in talks with one of the leading theatres to make arrangements for all employees to watch their favourite ‘Thalaivar’ on screen.

Also, a few corporate firms have planned a series of contests for employees. While some will organise a ‘Superstar Costume Day’, where everyone would dress up as a character from one of his films, others have come up with quirky social media campaigns like ‘Kabali-fy your car or vehicle’.

“Kabali T-shirts and mugs have already become a huge hit among fans. Those who identify the name of the film based on his dialogues will win the contest,” says a source.

Now, it looks like even the film fraternity is catching on. Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu’s newly-launched production Black Ticket Company has declared a holiday for the whole unit on July 22, besides booking tickets for the entire crew of Chennai-28. On the other hand, STR has also booked tickets for his Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan (AAA) team. Director Adhik Ravichandran’s tweet reads: “Simbu has arranged Kabali FDFS tickets for all cast and crew. Magizchi with sirappu (sic).”

These apart, filmmaker Arivazhagan has rescheduled the shooting schedules of the Arun Vijay-starrer Kuttram 23. He posted on Twitter: “Rescheduled the shooting for our one and only Thalaivar. Kabali as a hardcore fan and team (sic)” Well, that’s Superstar power!
