The 2012 comedy film Kalakalappu will in all likelihood get a sequel. Sources say that director Sundar C, who is currently busy with the pre-production works of Sangamithra, is also working on this sequel, as the actress for the former still remains unconfirmed.
While the original film starred Vemal, Shiva, Anjali and Oviya, it’s not yet clear if this same cast will be retained for the sequel. Considering the popularity of Oviya post her exit from Bigg Boss Tamil, it’s highly likely that the film may take off soon.
Meanwhile, Shiva is also a part of another sequel — Tamizh Padam 2.0. Sources also say that Sri Thenandal Films who is producing Sangamithra will bankroll the Kalakalappu sequel as well.
