After the critically-acclaimed Orange Mittai, Vijay Sethupathi, has once again donned the role of a dialogue writer for a new film, starring Vikranth in the lead role. And for the first time ever, the Pizza actor has also co-written the screenplay of the film, which is being directed by Vikranth’s brother, Sanjeev.

Sanjeev, who made his directorial debut with Thaaka Thaaka in 2015, says Vijay Sethupathi was the one who suggested Vikranth’s name for the lead role.

"I met Sethupathi sir a few years back to narrate a script. He liked the script but he wasn’t able to give the nod as his hands were full.

After that, I narrated a fresh story to him and asked his suggestion. He immediately said that the second story would perfectly suit Vikranth, and offered to write dialogues and co-write the screenplay for the film.”

About the process of scripting, the director adds, “Sethupathi sir usually shoots for his films in the day and dubs in the evening, so I sat with him for three months during the nights, and completed the script.” Sanjeev goes on to reveal that the film has a character with grey shades that demands a major actor. “We are keen on roping a big name for this role.”The director is yet to finalise the rest of the cast and crew. Meanwhile, Vikranth has Bakrid, Suttu Pidika Utharavu and Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu 2 in his kitty.
