HYDERABAD: Actor Junior NTR is all set to tie the knot with Laxmi Pranathi, daughter of businessman Narne Srinivasa Rao, owner of Studio N on May 5. The Lagna Patrika ritual, considered to be the most important event before the wedding, was held at the residence of Narne Srinivas Rao at 8.05 AM on Sunday. Narne Srinivasa Rao is also related to former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Junior NTR got engaged to Laxmi Pranathi last April, but nuptials were put off as Laxmi Pranathi had not yet turned 18. According to sources, the wedding is expected to take place either at Hitex grounds, Gachibowli or at a leading hotel in the city.
Major film stars are expected to attend the wedding including Rajniknath, Prabhu, Nayanatara, Vikram, Vijay, Surya, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and Suniel Shetty among others. Several politicians such as Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu, Dev Gowda and Kiran Kumar Reddy are expected to attend the function.
Junior NTR is the grandson of former chief minister N T Rama Rao and the son of Harikrishna and Shalini. Junior NTR is currently shooting for a film titled ‘Shakti’ produced by Aswani Dutt. The film is expected to be released in April.
