May 20 Release for Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam

The film is being produced by PVP Cinemas, who will be hoping for a hattrick of hits after Kshanam and Oopiri earlier this year.

Finally, an official release date for Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming family entertainer Brahmotsavam has been announced. After months of dillydallying, the makers have decided to release the film worldwide on May 20, while the audio launch will take place in Hyderabad on May 6. 

"The audio launch will take place in a grand way at Shilpakala Vedika, and the movie will hit screens on May 20," confirmed BA Raju, spokesperson for the film. 

Mahesh's previous film Srimanthudu was a huge blockbuster and the actor is hoping to replicate his success with Brahmotsavam. 

"The last song has been canned this week and the film has officially moved into the post-production stage. The makers are satisfied with the output and have begun promotional strategies for the big release. The film will be a treat for the family audience and all Mahesh Babu fans," said a source from the film's unit. 

The film is being produced by PVP Cinemas, who will be hoping for a hattrick of hits after Kshanam and Oopiri earlier this year. 

Directed by Srikanth Addala, Brahmotsavam features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal and Pranitha Subhash as its female leads.
