AI's first Dreamliner service on Delhi-Kochi-Dubai route

Operating daily, flight AI 933 will depart from Delhi at 0510 hours and will reach Kochi at 0800 hours.

NEW DELHI: National carrier Air India on Tuesday said it would operate its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the Delhi-Kochi-Dubai route from February 1. It will be a daily flight. “The newly launched flight will give further fillip to the growing ties between the UAE and India and will offer immense benefits to the Indian community in the UAE.

Operating daily, flight AI 933 will depart from Delhi at 0510 hours and will reach Kochi at 0800 hours. For its onward journey from Kochi, AI 933 will depart at 0915 hours and touch down at Dubai airport at 12pm.

On the return leg, flight AI 934 will depart daily from Dubai at 1330 hours to reach Kochi at 1850 hours. From Kochi AI 934 will become AI 047 departing at 2020 hours to complete its journey landing at Indira Gandhi International airport, New Delhi, at 2320 hours,” the airlines said in a statement.

Air India will also provide an attractive introductory offer including free check-in baggage allowance of 40 kg in the economy class and 50 kg in the business class. The Dreamliner, introduced by Boeing in 2011, accommodates about 340 people in first or business and economy class segments.

Air India chairman Ashwani Lohani announced the decision to operate the Dreamliner on the Kochi-Dubai route during a question raised by Parliamentary Consultative Committee member K C Venugopal earlier.
